Certified Medical Assistant
Job Type: Full-time

Job duties include:

• Prepare rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
• Room patient into the exam room and verify patient information by reviewing medical history; updating medical history, confirming purpose of visit.
• Help physician examine and treat patients (infant to adult) by performing allergy and asthma testing.
• Administering injections, verifying doses, and logging patient information.
• Counseling patients by answering questions and explaining procedures, medications, and physicians’ instructions to patients.
• Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
• Provide lab work orders and results to the patient and/or lab as needed.
• Knowledge of EMR, medical terminology, prescriptions, and taking vitals.
• Basic understanding of the billing process, cpt and diagnosis codes.
• Registering and scheduling patients in EMR, collecting payments, answering phone calls and returning messages via call and text, check faxes.
• Release of patient medical records and referrals, etc. as needed.

Qualifications: Certified Medical Assistant

Pay: $15 – $18 per hour
